Epilepsy Monitors & Medical Equipment for Aubrey

In the past month, our sweet five month old daughter, Aubrey, suffered from a general seizure unexpectedly. She was taken to the emergency room by ambulance and hospitalized. She was given an MRI and EEG and results came back with no abnormalities. Unfortunately, three weeks later, she began having focal seizures and another general seizure. She was taken to the emergency room again, and sent home to begin a medication to treat seizures. This medication was ineffective for Aubrey and she ended up having more focal seizures. We took her to a neurologist and her regular pediatrician, and she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She ended up seizing at her pediatricians office and was then admitted again for a four day stay in the PICU. She was monitored by a 24 hour EEG and her seizures worsened. She had many more focal seizures and another general seizure. The neurologist changed her medication, which has worked wonders for her, and she is improving. We are now at home, but there is a long road ahead for she and our family filled with tests, medications, medical equipment, and seizure monitoring equipment. This has all been very unexpected for our family and we wanted to reach out for some additional support to help Aubrey and get her everything she needs.
