More room for more fun

Hello community,

I want to start by thanking you for taking time out of your busy schedule to consider helping a new local business. I would like to introduce the newest, coolest, youth center in the Lewis county area, The Hangout!! We are a family youth center in Lewis county that provides a safe, fun,experience for families and youth. We have several amenities, such as pool tables, air hockey, arcade games, music as well as a consession stand. We strive to bring the community together by hosting parties and giving the option to book a private party.

When we considered opening a place for youth and families, one thing I knew I wanted it to be was affordable. I consider us to be affordable being that we only charge $5.00 for admission. Upon paying your $5.00 for admission you are granted access to all the games at no extra cost, every game is set up on FREE play, which means they take no extra coins or tokens. It is especially important to my family that we continue to offer affordable prices so all families can enjoy time together.

We know this is a need for this area , as we have already been busy since September serving our community and bringing families together. However, we would like to add some new accommodations to our facility. We want to expand our game room so more families can use it and be able to accommodate everyone, so we would need to make some improvements to our restrooms for them to be handicap accessible.

Here is where we need the support of our wonderful community. We want to build an addition of about 30x43 onto our existing building and install a large handicap/ family restroom. However, with the admission only being $5.00 per person it barely covers the cost of utilities and upkeep on the facility. We are all volunteers and all the proceeds we take in go right back into maintaining the facility.

We are seeking donations of any kind from the community. We specifically need help with building materials. I know you feel the same way we do and see the value of investing in our youth. If you are able to help with a donation we would greatly appreciate it. It is our mission to make The Hangout an affordable place the community can come to and enjoy time together in a drug and alcohol free environment.
