Ensure Stability for Shay's Young Children

Support needed: Caring for Shay’s children

Hello, I’m Stacy , and I am reaching out for help during a challenging time for Cobi and our family. My beloved niece Loshay (Shay) has been hospitalized unexpectedly due to a serious illness for the last six weeks. As a result, myself and other family members have stepped in to care for her two young children.

Shay has always been a devoted mother to her kids Muiye age 8 and Amarye age 4. With the sudden and prolonged hospitalization, myself and Shay’s mother Chatia have been responsible for their daily care. Including providing meals, transportation from activities and ensuring they feel supported. This has been both emotionally and financially challenging. Shay’s mother has had to resign from her job to provide full time care for Amarye.

We’re seeking to raise $10,000 to help with extra costs such as daycare, groceries, and other necessities to ensure the children’s well-being during this difficult time. Also, since Shay is a single mother, there has been no income while she is in the hospital, so any money raised will help keep her rent up to date. Although Shay has made great strides, she still has a long road ahead of her while she recovers.
