Help Bishop end Hot Car Deaths

My name is Bishop and my goal is to make sure kids in cars are as safe as possible. When a baby in my neighborhood passed away from a heatstroke in 2016, I knew that I wanted to do anything I could to stop that from happening again. That’s when I came up with the idea for Oasis.
Oasis is a child heatstroke prevention device that I received a patent for this April. If a child is left in a hot car, the device uses a fan system to cool the child and the car. While that happens, the device sends an alert to the parents and alerts authorities if the parents don’t react. You can hear more about Oasis, my ideas, and my plans in my Tedx Talk here .
Now that the Oasis has been fully dreamed up, it’s time to bring the final product to life. So far all the prototypes of my device have been handmade in my garage, but I’m ready for the next steps. The ultimate goal of this phase is to have a functional prototype to help with getting Oasis manufactured.
I’ve been working with Kickr Design , a company that helps inventors build their products and connects them with manufacturers to bring products to market. This process is very expensive but very important. Kickr and I have come up with a plan for the amount of time each next step will take:
Project Breakdown
• Project Planning: 8-10 hours
• Brainstorming and Ideation: 5-7 hours
• Mechanical Design: 12-14 hours
• Electrical Design: 15-18 hours
• Testing: 32-38 hours
• Software Programming: 68-72 hours
• Design Reviews: 10-12 hours
• Assembly and Adjustment: TBD
The time it takes for these next steps is dependent upon funding because the company that will be helping is paid by the hour. This is where you come in. Your donations will go directly towards the creation of Oasis. You can help play a role in saving a child’s life.
