Empower Youth: Fund Junior Rescuer Program CPR Training

Tax deductible
Serving communities for 14 years as a nurse and a family home provider, I came to understand the disparities in the health system in the Louisville community. I am Lynda McClellan, a certified nurse and an instructor for the American Heart Association, and I have started the Junior Rescuer Program. Due to the lack of health literacy, individuals are at a higher risk of losing life. As a solution, the Junior Rescuer Program will educate the young generation to take part in learning how to save lives. This can help them in their homes & community to help combat unnecessary deaths. Participants can take part in the Junior Rescuer Program as early as 9 years of age. Statistically, learning CPR at an early age will help decrease the casualties and severe injuries in the community. The purpose of requesting the funds is to provide students access to manikins and help them develop their professional skills.
