Empower Paris Mclean's Future in Medicine
Donation protected
Paris Mclean, a 15-year-old high schooler, began saying at 8 years old she wanted to work at Saint Jude Hospital to help children. At 12 years, she joined a program called Made for Medicine, a program to give her insight and an opportunity to learn more about her career goal to be a doctor. For 4 years, she has been in this program and has made many accomplishments and has been inspired to want to be an oncologist .while keeping A's and B's in school, showing the desire to be a doctor.
Last week, she told me her Made for Medicine program had recommended her for a high opportunity for her medicine career. On 3/14/2025, she received a letter that she was nominated for recognition as a delegate representing the State of Ohio at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts, where she will do a 3-day course and watch actual surgery performed. Once completed, she will have a letter of recommendation to colleges, a lifetime relationship with mentors that will empower and encourage her on her medical journey.
I can't express how good she feels about the letter of opportunity. Her hard work to create a career is paying off.
We started to go fund me cuz we're not able to pay for this amazing experience for her own we have been able to pay off the $1,285 we are still short for hotel for 3 days and the gas to get to Boston from Ohio we appreciate all the donations and all that can help us get to our gold before June 20th
