We believe that something natural as a period should not stand in the way of the educational dreams of girls, so let’s do something about it!

Period Poverty sadly is a daily struggle for many girls in the community that we serve in Colombia. Many girls skip school during their menstruation because their families do not have the means to pay for menstrual pads which have become increasingly more expensive over the years. Missing school affects their school results and motivation to stay in school, which later can have a negative effect on the number of girls that manage to complete high school. We believe that something natural as a period should not stand in the way of the educational dreams of girls! When you educate a girl, you invest in the future of a whole community and kick-start a cycle of success. Investing in girls does not only make moral and social sense, it also makes economic sense!

The Stories of Love Movement is a social and educational organization aimed to support and mobilize highly motivated Colombian youth to go to university while they contribute greatly to their communities. We also run a selection of social projects to support the greater community.
