Empower a Loving Mom to Reunite with Her Kids

Lorraine is trying to help a young mom who is getting her volunteered temporary guardianship revoked. I have known this mom since she was 17 yrs old. I have seen the best and the worst of this young woman and now her return to her best self at 28 yr old. Her goal is to have her daughters full time and give them the life her grandparents gave her while she was growing up. Currently and for quite a few years now she has returned to her former intelligent, hardworking, loving, excellent care giver, self she was before her poor decisions.

She has completed several certifications, has been promoted in her job 3 times. The pay is still below a standard of living for our community. Her lawyers are taking her case pro bo no because they believe she has earned the right to be with her children full time. However, she has to pay a guardian ad litem to help her case. There is no way to afford this money on her current salary, rent and utilities. A full-time job doesn't give her any extra money. Being a low wage worker shouldn’t exclude you from being a mom. I’ve watched this woman with her daughters, she is calm, caring, loving and supportive. The girls love being with their mom. She has had her daughters every weekend & for vacation for quite few years. The law is on her side and the guardian ad litem will help support her case.
