Employees of Illinois against vaccine mandate.

As you all know, our backs are against the wall in Illinois. Other state's employees have rights that we simply do not have in Illinois. State employees in Illinois, myself and my friends included, are now being told that 'my body, my choice' doesn't apply to us. We were your Frontline/essential workers that spent those first months face to face with covid. Being constantly exposed, most of us caught covid, we fought it and beat it. Our bodies gained natural immunity through it.

 

Now we're being told that despite all of this, if we don't take the vaccine for something we've already beaten, we'll lose our jobs and our livelihoods. So, we chose to fight because we've proven that we're fighters. We have become even tougher as we fought the last 18 months on the frontlines for a people that appreciate us and a governor that despises us.

 

In order to fight this billionaire's executive order, that couldn't be more tyrannical, we must fight in the courts. Our time is short as the deadline to get the Jab or get fired is weeks away. We need your help and we need it now. What starts with state workers won't end there. If they beat us, it's our children next. They prove that they can mandate in the face of our rights, it'll be open season to mandate everyone. This has to stop here. This has to stop now. This has to stop with US!

Our group will be using this as the retainer fee for the attorney (Mrs. Bethany Hager of Danville) in order to file an injunction on behalf of state employees disciplined for refusing the executive order mandate issued by Pritzker. Now that the IDOC majors have the ultimatum date of Oct 14th, we have a date for the first injury (that we're aware of) that we can fight with an injunction. 

So the funds will be used entirely for the purpose of legal representation to get an injunction for all of us. Pause the mandate while it's in courts and give us a chance to battle this out to deem the order invalid.
