Emma's Peru Expedition 2018

I am raising money for a 4 week trip to Peru in the summer of 2018 organised by the charity organisation Camps International Foundation. On this trip I will be doing charity work for the community we visit and the local environment. I will also have the opportunity to spend the last 5 days of the visit on a trek to Machu Picchu.

Why Peru?

1) 54% of rural communities live below the poverty line.
2) 33% of under 15s are employed rather than at school.
3) 18% are malnourished and lacking fresh fruit and vegetables.

What sort of work will I be doing?

The project will have a life changing impact on the local community. Camps International Foundation's approach of empowering community leaders and developing relationships built on trust and honesty enables teams to work with local communities to create transformational projects, meeting their needs and changing lives.
