Emily's Journey to Space

My name is Emily Apollonio and I am seeking funding for a unique educational opportunity in Strasbourg, France. A little bit about me! I was born and raised in Norman, OK and I currently live in Oklahoma City with my husband and two kids. I received my Bachelors and Masters in Aeronautical Science and Human Factors. I am deeply passionate about women in science, space exploration, and fostering the minds of all individuals, young and old.

I was recently given the exciting opportunity to participate in the International Space University's Space Studies Program in Strasbourg, France this summer. It is an extensive 10-week program that brings some of the greatest minds to collaborate, participate in field work, conduct research, and present projects on an academic level (some recent projects are actually on the International Space Station right now!). The program is held from June 26th through August 28th. I am incredibly proud of my accomplishments that led me to being accepted and feel that it is a direct reflection of my strengths and passions.

The $25,000.00 program includes the program itself, accommodations, and meals. While partial scholarships have helped tremendously, I am seeking funding to help offset these costs. We are at such an exciting time in the space age!! And I would love for you to be a part of it with me!
