Emergent moving cost due to moldy apartment

Hello! My name is Cassie Morrone. My husband Dennis and I have two kids, Dennis 8 and Khaleesi 5. The last 3 weeks our apartment has gone to crap. It started with a severe water leak that our apartment maintenance told us wasn’t an emergency and left for the whole weekend. By Monday morning ceilings were bubbling and falling apart. The slumlords we have wanted to cover it up. I called the city who came out and told them it needed ALOT of work. There has been severe exposed black mold for over two weeks. Both kids have been really sick, missing two weeks of school. We plan to take legal action for negligence but for now, we have to get our kids out of here. After raising hell day after day the slumlords finally are giving us the option to break our lease and leave as long as we’re out by November 30th. With almost no notice we don’t have time to save for moving costs. Such as deposits, application fees and possible uhaul. We need to get our kids out of this place as soon as possible.
