Hi, my name is Megan, and I never thought I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this.

On January 12th, I was rushed into emergency, life-saving surgery for an ovarian torsion that was rapidly turning septic. What started as severe pain became a critical situation that doctors told me could have cost me my life if it hadn’t been treated immediately.

Because of this surgery and recovery, I have been out of work with no pay since January 12th and will not be cleared to return until the beginning of March. Even when I return, I won’t receive a paycheck for an additional month. This has created a long, unexpected gap with no income for our household.

I am a mom of six children — four girls and two boys — and while my fiancé is working, his recent paycheck was significantly reduced due to time off to care for me and our children during my recovery, as well as my medical needs.

We are now behind on essential bills and struggling to keep up with basic necessities.

We are asking for help to raise $6,400 to cover:

Past due mortgage

Past due utilities

Groceries and household necessities for our children

Transportation expenses and follow-up medical expenses

Keeping our home stable until I can return to work and receive my first paycheck again

This medical emergency was completely unexpected, and we simply were not financially prepared for something of this magnitude.

As hard as it is to ask, any donation — no matter the amount — or even sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to our family. Right now, my focus is healing so I can get back to work and continue providing for my children.
