Emergency Surgery Fund for Snix
Spende geschützt
On January 29, 2020, Snickers, age 14, went to the vet school in Knoxville, Tennessee for a needle biopsy of his liver and spleen. Upon examination, doctors determined that his gallbladder was likely infected and sedated him for the aspiration. A few hours later, back at the hotel, Snix got very sick and had a seizure. In fact, his mama thought he died en route to UT because he was so critical!
After being examined at the vet school, it was discovered that his gallbladder had ruptured and he had to have emergency surgery for a septic abdomen. The surgeon gave him a 50/50 chance of survival and said that if he lived, he’d be hospitalized for 2 weeks. He became unstable during surgery, and things did not look very hopeful at all. Many of his mama’s friends and family traveled to Knoxville to sit with her during the procedure and visited Snickers in the ICU. Thankfully, he is recovering nicely, but has a $9500 surgery bill and his mama, who is a full-time student, has a $2000 hotel bill.
Many have asked to donate, so we started a Go Fund Me just for Snix! If you feel led to contribute, we thank you and appreciate your kindness! If you can’t donate, please feel free to share his story. He is one very loved puppy!
