Emergency surgery for my kitty Shoshana

Hi, this is my cat Shoshana. She is a rescue from CTAR in Vancouver - she’s a young little bean, about 3.5 years old.

Last December, she had a dire emergency and had an obstruction in her intestine. It required emergency surgery and it turned out to be a compacted hairball, which also killed a part of her intestine. This was removed along with the dead portion of her intestine, she had a rough recovery but made it.

well, it’s almost exactly 2 months from the original obstruction and she has another one. I maxed out my insurance on the first one, and these surgeries are very expensive. Without it she could die. I’m not sure how this happened, as I’ve been brushing her frequently and monitoring her closely.

this poor girl had such a rough start to life already. She lost an eye and was abused before I adopted her. She is such a perfect light in my life I can’t live without her.
