Emergency Support for Michael, Auntie Twiss and His Family

I’m Derek, nephew and cousin. Our family has been in a terrible accident, and all were hurt. My cousin Michael is in the ICU in Michigan with severe injuries, including a broken hip, broken femur, lacerations, and he is currently in an induced coma with a breathing tube.

The children were also hurt and had to be taken to the children’s hospital in Detroit for care, and released. What was supposed to be a simple back-to-school shopping trip has turned into a heartbreaking crisis.

Michael’s mom, my aunt, is by his side and will stay with him as long as it takes until he can be moved home or to Sarnia hospital. This has put a heavy emotional and financial strain on the family. She along with her daughter Michaela were both hurt also but recently released.

We are asking for donations to help support them during this difficult time, including travel, accommodations, meals, and ongoing care until Michael and Auntie can return home safely.
