Emergency Neck Surgery for Stephanie Humphries

On Christmas Eve, Stephanie threw her head back laughing and felt an electric type shock in her neck. By the next morning the pain was less, but she lost feeling and use of her hand. An MRI found collapsed c4-c7 vertebrae, bulging discs, severe stenosis, pinched nerve, and nerve damage. The surgery was Wednesday morning. They went through the front of her neck and replaced the vertebrae with cadaver bones and titanium. This has been unexpected, sudden, and scary for her, her family, and her friends. The surgery went smoothly, but now she's facing the aftermath. She will be in hard recovery for two weeks and then restricted recovery for 4-6 more. Stephanie is a wonderful, loving mother and wife.
