Emergency foster kitten & mom fund

Hi, my name is Ash.

While housesitting for a friend, I discovered that one of the strays they help had given birth to kittens (confirmed strays, they do not belong to anyone). She is bonded with a daughter from a previous litter, and the kittens are under three weeks old. She's sweet, as is her daughter, and friendly (cat picture tax is paid at the end, I promise!). The area they are from is hard on cats and harder on kittens, and we felt that the best call was to get them fostered. Unfortunately, it seems local rescues are full. On the bright side, they will help with routine care costs. We are very experienced with cat care, but haven't fostered in a very long time. We need help to get the space set up for these sweet babies, as I am also in the process of looking for work.

We have other animals at this house, and need to keep everyone safe and low stress while these babies stay with us. With fostering four growing kittens, one adolescent, and one adult cat, this means having to get creative. We have these babies currently quarantined in a warm, safe shed outside, but the enclosures they are in are not long-term solutions, and the shed can't operate as a rescue space long-term, either, as it is an active workspace.

These cats also need enrichment and socialization, and a way to decompress after these changes.

Anything left over from the purchases above will be put into an emergency vet fund, and if we are lucky enough to get more than asked for, all funds will be placed directly toward any extra expenses these babies have.
