Emelie's Cancer Fight

The family and friends of Emelie Jeffries have put together this page to ask for donations to help support her in her fight against Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Emelie’s Story:

Emelie was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in April of 2016.   In May, she underwent surgery that successfully removed the tumor and put her in remission.

While chemotherapy was one of the treatment options offered to her, she declined getting chemo due to a diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy.  After extensive research, she learned that the chemotherapy that was being prescribed for her was cardio-toxic and could cause further damage to her heart as well as debilitating side effects.  She decided to pursue less toxic treatments that would not compromise her immune system.

In November, after 3 years of being remission, Emelie was devastated to find out that the cancer had returned and had spread aggressively to her lymph nodes and her colon cancer had elevated to Stage 4.

How to Help Emelie:

Since her surgery, Emelie decided to continue pursuing integrative, non-toxic treatments to eliminate the cancer from spreading throughout her body that will allow her to continue to work and avoid the devastating side effects of standard cancer treatments that would otherwise leave her incapacitated and cause further damage to her heart.

Your donations will be used to help Emelie get the integrative treatment she needs, which will include targeted care at CHIPSA Hospital, supplements, vitamin therapy, pain management, and follow up treatments which is not covered by her insurance and have the surgery she needs to remove the affected lymph nodes.

She is someone that always puts the needs of others before herself—always helping family and friends and offering support to those who are in need…and often neglecting herself in the process.
