Elsie’s medical: 2 AEDs & associated income loss

Kiddo has been diagnosed with a dangerous rare genetic heart arythmia after a terrifying 8 minutes at my home one morning. (see updates) A home defibrillator for each house will increase the chances she would make it through another cardiac event without any damage to heart, brain or other systems. An AED is not something insurance wants to provide without extensive argument. Her Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist have already started the insurance petition but urged us to meanwhile attempt to acquire. Until meds start stabilizing the rhythm, EVERY SINGLE DAY is a risk of cardiac arrest. For many children with LQTS, the FIRST  “symptom” is sudden death. I wrestled with her and her heart for 8 long minutes, 4 days after her birthday, and wasn’t sure if she was still with me 3 times in 8 minutes. We were lucky. Her heart got itself back on track. We still don’t know the best course of action, but we are certain that this is a necessary immediate need. She cannot be left alone longer than she can survive without oxygen, per doctors orders. I cannot go to work. We need your love! (Wegmans, and Lexington Co-op cards would be lovely if you had extra, but not critical).
