Elmer's Family

"My name is Elmer Peña. I have been in this country for 16 years. I came from El Salvador fleeing the grave insecurity and fear of being assassinated. Why do I mention this? Because it is what normally happens in my country! Here in the United States, I have worked very hard and respectably to provide for my family. I met the person who is now my wife here, and together we have three United States citizen children, who are 3, 8 and 11 years old.

I am the foundation and support for my family and if I am separated from them I do not want to even think about what would happen, I would ask God to free me and my family from that suffering. I also do not want to imagine what would happen if one day I had to return to my country with my family because they would not be able to live a safe life and they wouldn’t have a future. For this reason, I want to tell you that I am a good person. I pay my taxes, I work hard, I am a homeowner and I am not a burden on this country. My children have dreams of going to college and in my country, this would not be possible. But here in the United States, this will be possible for them, working together as a  family and of course with my example and help as a father to my children."

Please help Elmer's family make ends meet while he is in sanctuary.
