Help elect Nessa Cosgrove to Sligo County Council

Hi my name is Nessa and I am running in the upcoming LE 2024 in Sligo- Strandhill. My journey into politics has been driven by a passion for positive change and I believe that local government can do better for the people of Sligo and Strandhill.

I am the mother of three children and live in Cartron Point in Sligo town. For the past twenty years I have worked in a number of youth and community organisations throughout Sligo where I support young people, families and communities.

For many years I have been actively involved in local voluntary and social organisations where I have campaigned and worked with other volunteers in bringing about positive changes to people’s everyday lives.

I am a hard-worker and a good listener and have the on-the ground experience needed to bring a new and fresh perspective to Sligo County Council.

My Priorities include:

Housing – tackling dereliction and vacancy.

Health and Social Care Services- to improve local public and community services.

Transport Infrastructure -development in all areas of transport; including road, rail, cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.

Creation of more spaces, places and activities for young and old, which can be enjoyed by night and by day.

Structured Development in Sligo and Strandhill – to encourage sustainable growth and balance.

Running a successful campaign requires resources, and to reach every voter in Sligo- Strandhill, I need your help:

-€10-€20 will help me pay for an ad on social media

-€600 will help me pay for 10,000 leaflets

-€950 will help me pay for advertising in our local newspapers

Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated

Donations can only be accepted from residents of the Republic of Ireland or Irish citizens abroad. I cannot accept donations over €1000 from one person and cannot take anonymous donation over €100. I may have to contact you after donation to confirm the details.
