Celebration of Tammy’s life

Hello, 

I have created this fundraiser to help my aunt (Tammy) in need. It all started about 5 years ago when she was first diagnosed with end stage kidney/renal failure where she spent about 15-17 days straight in the hospital. She went through multiple obstacles, dealing with lots of doctors, getting disability, her whole life changing around. Dealing with her high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and more. She went through several surgeries to prepare her for dialysis (catheter’s & fistula’s) all in order for her to be able to get the treatment she needed. She then went to a dialysis center 3 times a week for 4 hour treatments for 2 years.  Just recently, she has started PD (Peritoneal dialysis) which is an home treatment that is about 10 hours long and has to be done every day. She started to get an ulcer on her foot with other small ones on other parts of her body and she was then admitted to the hospital because she’s been in excruciating pain. Calciphylaxis is what she has which is a serious, uncommon disease that causes blood clots, skin ulcers and can lead to serious infections. Any donation is greatly appreciated for my aunt as she has been through a lot these past 5 years of her life fighting. Thank you for taking the time to read and share this story.
