In life we often ponder the tough questions like what would it be like to lose our parents or our chosen life partner?! Absolutely heartbreaking!!!
One question, as a parent, most do not consider is what it would feel like to lose our child...?
It's simply the unthinkable and you just can't begin to comprehend the devastation, the sense of loss. It's just plain wrong!
We are deeply saddened to learn one of our treasured team members Alan is currently facing this very scenario.
Alans adult daughter, with a loving family of her own is facing a battle with MND and her days are sadly numbered.
The initial prognosis was a life expectancy of approximately 5 years, however, the disease and it's effects appear to be progressing quickly.
Alans daughter is bravely facing her reality and enjoying what life she has left, which is just wonderful and we admire her strength.
For Alan, the unimaginable is happening to him, he will lose his daughter far too soon.
We have only recently learnt of Alan's news about his daughter despite the fact that the diagnosis was a year ago.
A beautiful father, who wants the best for his daughter in her final chapter and we want nothing but the best for Alan and his family.
We would LOVE YOUR SUPPORT to send Alan, his wife Shann and his daughter on a luxury long weekend away, all expenses paid where they can just enjoy some quality uninterrupted time together. Time spent together cherishing the moments and celebrating a wonderful life.
Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover luxury Queensland accommodation, flights, limo transfers, meals and activities.
