Eid al-Fitr for the kids of Gaza

to all who have viewed this story and are sceptical, at the bottom I had posted exactly where the funds are going and how you will know they will get there. Confirmation of all funds received and handed over to the charity of choice (Gaza Childrens Fund) will be posted on the Facebook page of the Gaza Childrens Fund
https://m.facebook.com/gazachildrensfund/
A not for profit organisation that directly issues aid to the Children of Gaza In many different forms.
Not many people know of this great org and the amazing job they do.

The reason I withhold my full name is to save myself from embarrassment and humiliation as it looks like it's unlikely I'll be raising more then a donation or two, which may then be a reflection on my community who are usually generous when it comes to giving... Thank you for understanding

Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). This religious "Eid" (Muslim religious festival) celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan.

But is this also the case for anybody living in a cage called Gaza, a virtual prison with hardly any way in or out? I personally cannot imagine a festive or religious holiday living in an apartheid state, restricted from the most basic human needs. I really can't fathom the children stuck and suffering in a concrete hell, and without even the most basic of means to enjoy this holy day, in which Allah swt has granted us celebrations marking the end of the month of sacrifice.

Around the world, millions of children are the unheard voices of war. And the horrors they witness today will shape the adults they become tomorrow. Will they grow up to be the next leaders, teachers or freedom fighters? Or will they be used as target practice by an oppressive force who believes eliminating the youth will help "manage" the generations to come...

With the recent massacres on the border fence, it's one thing to witness the utter brute force being used against these unarmed protesters.
It's another to know that even children are not spared as these war crimes continue almost on a daily basis.

International law makes a simple point, “a child is a child” and they shouldn’t be targeted by anyone — whether they were coerced into a dangerous situation or not.

But the latest spate of violence is adding to the already tremendous levels of distress among children. There has been a marked increase in the number of students experiencing nightmares, and psychological illness due to the violent reactions to protests.

Recently as the weeks went on, more and more atrocities have been committed against the people of Gaza. The kids obviously know the risks.  But it breaks my heart hearing There’s a number of kids who say, "there’s nothing I have to lose, I don’t see a future for myself and I’m showing the world our situation, it has to help make a change so I am participating in it’.”

Many children in Gaza have grown up amid a cycle of conflict and deprivation. Many are still suffering from various mental health issues stemming from the  2014 Israeli hostilities that rattled homes and communities throughout Gaza. The war devastated densely populated civilian areas, claiming over 2,000 lives, including over 500 children.

And today we see this same cycle..
Such a sad way for any child from any corner of the globe to live and feel. "If you wont hear me, then I choose not live, under the rule of oppressors and criminals, I take my chances, but if death is my only destiny, then so it be" these are the words of children who should be playing with toys and getting a proper education in school.

The point I make is this. I am but a mere servant looking to do some good in this world as I can no longer sit idly by, watching these children fall victim to physical and psychological warfare. They are kids with no hope. No future. And no one to stand up for them. No child deserves being deprived. But no child deserves burying their school friends, brothers, sisters and cousins. No child deserves watching their family and friends being shot and crippled, thats if they are not shot dead on site.

The blessing we have living in this country today where our children don't deal with anything close to these atrocities is one that should make us look at the plight of our young brothers and sisters, who I'm sure to most parents are more like sons and daughters. How good do we have it living in the best country in the world, where our kids are safe and fed and warm. Our children are in paradise while these children are in hell! If we cannot physically be of assistance and with them in a side by side presence then the least we can do is give as much as we can to ensure these children have at least ONE decent day of the year, where they can wear clean clothes and for ONE day, just ONE, pretend that life is more then a mere struggle. These conditions are deplorable. No human yet child should live like this...

The mission is simple. Give as much as you can and days before the Eid, we will be sending the donations through to the Gaza Childrens Fund,  with the mission to help them provide what we would like for our children to enjoy on this holiday with clean clothes, food, eid parties and different forms of activities for the children to take their minds off this living hell they are enslaved in. Im aware many people are already donating and contributing in their own way but I  hope we can at least get a decent amount to help these kids enjoy what Allah swt has made a day for all Muslims to enjoy.

"Do not feel ashamed if the amount of charity you give is small, because to refuse the needy is an act of greater shame." -Imam Ali (AS)

I know your generosity will increase when you look into your children's eyes...
