EH - Tendai's Move to Houston

Many of you were at the Elizabeth House Gala last year when our resident Tendai Senah shared her story of traveling from England to the United States. She arrived at Elizabeth House, pregnant and with $7.00 in her pocket, after spending a week on the streets of Los Angeles.
I was privileged to be in the delivery room when Tendai’s beautiful daughter Tino was born. Tino is now 13 months old, and Tendai and Tino will be moving to Houston, TX next week. Tendai has been working for Wells Fargo and they will be transferring her to their branch in Houston. She is starting this adventure and making this transition to ensure that she will be able to support her daughter as a single mother. Los Angeles is simply too expensive for them to find housing and childcare.
I’ve been Tendai’s mentor at EH for the last year and a half, and we’ve developed a special bond. I’d like to ask your help in Tendai and Tino’s transition – they will be driving to Houston and will have lots of expenses between now and actually moving into an apartment, which they will need to furnish. I’m incredibly sad that they are leaving, but I’m so proud of Tendai as she makes this decision that will enable them to move forward in life!
