Damion William Lewis Jr.
Gone way too soon. He was born October 23, 2020 to Damion Lewis Sr. and Louise Ezeb. Damion transitioned on December 2, 2020 at 7:20 pm. His family was heart broken, because his death, due to medical negligence, was absolutely preventable this early on in his life.
Damion was diagnosed, in utero, with Edward's Syndrome (Partial Trisomy 18). God had other plans, and little Damion was born thriving and fighting.
Despite all that he endured, he fought to live. His feeding tube shifted from his throat to his nose and his breathing started to change. He passed away because his feedings he were going to his lungs. After multiple trips to the E.R, calling the nurses, and begging for someone to examine my baby, he was ignored and paid the price. Damion didn't ask to die. He fought so hard to live. A simple test or exam could have prevented this tragedy, but this medical mistake cost him his life. Damion leaves behind 2 grieving parents, 11 siblings, and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly. Our family is asking for help paying for medical bills, burial costs, and legal fees. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. There is no amount too small. God bless every seed sown in our time of need. Amen
