Medical Expenses

It is with heavy heart that we are sharing the unexpected news about Greg Michaels, age 53 of Mansfield IL.

Very recently Greg was diagnosed with stage 4 colonic adenocarcinoma, the cancer unfortunately is aggressive and invading the scapula bone, lungs, liver and colon.

Greg is working with his radiation oncologist and medical oncologist on providing the longest survival and plan of care to control his pain and keep him comfortable.

Greg has two children that are motivating him to keep his head up and fight for his life. His oldest daughter Farrah will graduate this May from Blue Ridge High School and his son Colin will be getting his drivers license soon.

Greg has worked with Champaign IL. Sam’s Club for the last 28 years and is currently taking his earned time off and extended illness to complete the long series of necessary testing, procedures and studies to make sure the chemotherapy and radiation can be started and continued without delay.

Greg’s parents and sister have been in Farmer City IL. Location, where both retired from teaching in the community for many, many years.

We ask for assistance with the mounting medical expenses to help take the burden of financial hardship off of Greg and his family to focus on the valuable time that he is fighting to watch his daughter graduate and take that cruise through town with his son when he gets his license this summer.
