Love 4 Lauren

2017 was an optimistic year for Byron and Lauren. By that summer, they'd finally taken a leap of faith and embarked on their lifelong dream of entrepreneurship. That dream was short lived when they received the most unexpected news, right at Christmas. Lauren had been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer that had already spread to multiple lymph nodes. Their focus on their entrepreneurial endeavors immediately ceased and shifted to the long battle ahead of them, as well as the continued care of their 3 daughters: Brooklyn (11), Brie (4), and Baylor (2). Lauren is currently 5 months into her treatment plan which consists of 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by a full mastectomy, 8 weeks of radiation, and 10 years of hormone therapy. Despite the physical weariness and emotional toll that cancer and her treatments cause, Lauren continues to find ways to spend meaningful time with her loved ones. Her prognosis is promising and I am proud to say that she is being treated through my employer and the best healthcare system in Texas, Houston Methodist. I am reaching out and humbly asking that you help my sister and her family alleviate all financial stress as they prepare for surgery and for 8 weeks of daily radiation. No one should have the burden of financial duress during such a challenging time.
