Education Fund to Honor Tim Hoiden and his family

COL (R) Tim Hoiden passed away on Veteran’s Day weekend after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tim was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, friend, leader, and mentor.   All that knew Tim were in awe of his grace, courage, faith, and humility that he and his family have demonstrated over the last few years. He leaves behind three wonderful children Joe, Maya and Kent, and Marina, his amazing, strong and beautiful wife.  Tim faithfully served his country for 26 years during a period in our nation’s history which can only be characterized as ‘persistent conflict.’  Throughout his career many have been touched by his leadership both in times of peace and under the most challenging times of combat.  Tim will be remembered for his compassion and leadership, but also for his quick wit, intellect and passion for learning.  Tim raised his kids to value education and seek lifelong learning opportunities.   Tim’s Baylor Class of 2002 classmates would like to honor Tim’s life, achievements and his family by collecting donations towards college education funds for his children.   Donations can be made on this site publicly or privately and all funds will go towards helping Marina and the kids achieve their educational goals.  Please feel free to share this site with anyone who served with Tim and is interested in donating to Tim’s family. 

      We are also collecting input/letters/stories from all that knew Tim with your memories of him to share with Marina and the kids.   Please email your memories to [e-mail geredigeerd].   We can pass on Marina's mailing address if you prefer to mail  your personal stories and/or donations directly to her.  Thanks in advance for continuing to keep Marina, Joe, Maya and Kent in your prayers as they learn to live without Tim.  Your caring and support has helped the family through this very difficult time and gives them strength to carry on.  Our hope with this endeavor is that Marina, Joe, Maya and Kent may always know that they are an important member of a larger Family that cares about them today and in the years to come!
