Please consider donating directly to Edith's family as they await Edith's work permit.

On February 18, 2021, Edith Espinal was able to return to her home in Columbus, Ohio with her family after spending more than 3 years and 4 months in sanctuary, after living 1,235 days in Columbus Mennonite Church.

While this has been a very positive change for Edith and her family, this doesn't solve all of their family's needs. Edith has now applied for a work permit, but such applications take approximately 6 months for approval. Until she receives that approval, Edith and her family won't have a way to make enough money to pay for rent, bills, food/groceries, and other amenities they need in order to make ends meet. 

LET'S MAKE EDITH'S HOMECOMING A GOOD ONE

We need to bridge the gap between now and when Edith is able to work again. While Edith is doing everything she can to work and earn money by selling her homemade cooking and meals, supporting a family is expensive, and their family could use your financial support in supplying the essentials.

Please consider donating what you can to help Edith and her family be able to provide for their basic needs.

All proceeds of this fundraising campaign will be used to support Edith and her family. These financial resources will be used to provide money for food, housing assistance, transportation needs,  phone and electric bills, as well as other basic needs.

While Edith and her family are still experiencing this financial insecurity and dependence, they remain incredibly grateful for the community that has formed around them and been a part of getting to this point.
