Eddie Novo's Funeral & Family Fund

Today, 15th October, 2021 - a Friday, the most favorite day of the week for Brother Eddie Novo when he would put on his best attire and best smile to attend Friday prayer with his friends and other community members. If you had seen that tall and slender brother who would come to you after prayer and shake your hands and convey you the warm greetings of peace, sadly, you will not see him anymore.

This Friday started for Brother Eddie just like any other Friday. He was preparing for his Friday prayer and went to his neighborhood store. But, a senseless and cowardly assault on him by a deranged person left him severely injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital but soon the doctor pronounced him dead - "Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return".

Brother Eddie was a family man, a loving husband to his wife and three children. They were looking forward to doing something fun this weekend. There is a community food festival this weekend where he wanted take his whole family - he loved the food and also the companionship he had created over the years since he reverted to Islam.

There is an urgent need to raise funds for his burial. His body is still in the Coroner's office but we want to make all preparations so that the body can be buried as soon as it is released.

While money will not fill the indelible void that is created in his family due to his demise, we want to raise some funds for Brother Eddie's family so that they could survive the immediate financial hardship.
