ECAP'S New Walk-In Fridge & Freezer

Deducible
A new walk-in freezer will enable Emeryville Citizens Assistance Program (ECAP)  to safely preserve the quality and freshness of the food we distribute to the community. We ask the GoFundMe community to help us in the endeavor. If you believe safe, fresh, healthy food is a human right, then please consider a donation to the Emeryville Citizens Assistance Program's new walk-in freezer and let's make this happen.

ECAP is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization. Our mission is to ensure the health and wellbeing of everyone in our community by providing nutritious food, warm clothing, and household items and information and referral services to the underserved in Emeryville and the surrounding east bay area communities.

ECAP was started more than 25 years ago by Nellie Hannon, who learned from personal experience how limited services were to Emeryville residents. Determined to fill the gap, Mrs. Hannon worked with a group of dedicated and caring volunteers to create a program that serves more than 12,500 people every month from both Alameda and Contra Costa county.
