Eastbourne Mayor’s Charity 2021 Seafront walk

Eastbourne Mayor’s Charity Community Sponsored Seafront Walk.
Sunday 18th July at 2pm, from Fisherman’s Green to Holywell and back again .
A total of  4.6 miles on a mostly flat wheelchair accessible paved seafront promenade.
We would like everyone who wishes to take part to register in advance with the Mayor’s Office

"The Mayor’s Charity" is the official platform of Eastbourne Bourne Council which allows it’s mayor, to support worthy causes within the town during the Mayoral year. The 2021/22 Mayor of Eastbourne Pat Rodohan has chosen 3 local small Charities, Amaze, Community Wise Holding Space are close to his heart. They all need to grow in order to meet the demand for their services.

Amaze helps families with disabled children and young people tackle problems such as poverty; exclusion from school, social isolation, physical and mental ill-health, poor housing, stress and anxiety, by providing high quality, impartial information, advice and support.
Amazing Futures is our peer support project for young people aged 14 to 25 with additional needs in Eastbourne. www.amazesussex.org.uk

 Community Wise is a group who want to provide a great experience of community life for all people of all ages and from all backgrounds, especially those in need. They provide community activities for young people, parents and toddlers, a winter night shelter, a charity shop and opportunities for volunteering. They have excellent community facilities for hire and allocate space for community groups that have no premises of their own. https://communitywise.org.uk

Holding Space is a registered charity that supports parents and carers who are caring for a child of any age, struggling with their mental health, there does not need to be an official diagnosis. Holding Space offers a holistic approach and will support whoever in the family needs it, by providing families with a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space where they can share, connect and talk about everything regarding their child’s mental health. Holding Space is led by an incredible team of volunteers of, made up of local parents with lived experience, carers, qualified therapists and mental health practitioners.
