Eagle Scout Project: Operation Share-A-Bear

My name is Trey, and I am a Life Scout in Cottage Grove, MN. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project.
The purpose of my project is to support terminally or chronically ill children, or children going through scary procedures, at St. Paul Children's Hospital. I am raising money to collect and distribute teddy bears, with hand-written notes attached to them. My hope is that this will help them through sad or difficult times, and that it will provide comfort, stress relief, and joy.
This is a personal project for me, because I have spent some time at Children's Hospital myself. I know that a small gesture can make a big difference.
I will be using the funds collected to purchase teddy bears, note cards, ribbons, and packaging for distribution to St. Paul Children's Hospital. I will also be doing separate (local) teddy bear drives to collect teddy bears.
The phases of my project include the following:
Initiation - Define my project and get approvals.
Planning - Identify all tasks needed to complete my project.
Execution - Do the work of the project (Drives, Bagging, Boxing, Pickup, Delivery)
Monitor & Control - Report status updates to Children's and make sure all the things I wanted to do for my project are working the way they should.
Closing - Hand everything off to children's and close the project.
My troop will assist with:
Writing and attaching hand-written notes to each bear
Distributing flyers
Manning the drive stations
Picking up bears from drive stations
Counting, sorting, packaging, and hauling bears
Loading, transporting, and unloading bears at the hospital
My project will run through 8/31/19.
Any donation is greatly appreciated! If I exceed my goal of $2334, I will use the money to purchase additional teddy bears to donate to the hospital.
