Late this summer, my sister and brother in law were awaiting the birth of their son via a birth mother who was incredibly generous and graciously giving her very own baby as a wonderful gift to our family.  On July 8th, the birth mom suffered a ruptured uterus and passed away. The full-term baby was born via emergency c-section but suffered severe oxygen loss for an undetermined amount of time. He has been diagnosed with moderate to severe HIE. My sister and her husband love this little guy and are continuing to seek guardianship so they can care for him and love him just as they desired before the tragedy. As part of his care, my sister is exploring the option of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment to try to restore brain function. The cost of this treatment is very expensive and costs approx. $6,000 per treatment cycle. We would like to help them fund this treatment and any other treatments that will help Anthony thrive.
