Trekking Kilimanjaro for charity
We are climbing Kilimanjaro at the end of August this year, and while we are in Tanzania we want to help some local communities. We are therefore raising money for charity.
The money we raise will benefit THE BAHATI TRUST FOR ORPHANS IN TANZANIA, registered charity number 1174461, supporting underprivileged children and impoverished Maasai communities. Their latest project is drilling for water in a remote Maasai village near Morogoro in Tanzania. This work will be life-changing for this community of about 300 people and provide far-reaching benefits for approximately another 1200 people who will reap the benefits of accessible clean running water.
The next stage of the project is to raise money for a filter that will allow people to use it for drinking water too as at the moment it contains too many minerals for drinking. Our target of £2500 should cover this work's cost and complete the project.
Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to us.
Best regards
Freddie and Ollie
