SSG Popham Motorpool Dedication

Spende geschützt

2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment (Blackhawks), stationed at Fort Carson, CO, is dedicating our motorpool to SSG Christopher Popham, who lost his life in a training accident at the National Training Center.

SSG Popham served twelve years in The United States Army, including three combat tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a Tanker, and proud of it. He spent his career serving in every position on the Abrams M1A2SEP, as a Tanker Instructor at both Fort Knox and Fort Benning, and finally as an MGS Vehicle Commander and Section Leader in one of the Army's first Stryker Heavy Weapons Platoons.

We are trying to raise $2500 to pay for a plaque and boulder to mark the entrance, telling the world about this excellent soldier, stellar Non-Commissioned Officer,  and all around good man.

We want to get the plaque made before Winter Block Leave, so we can start 2016 in our newly dedicated motorpool. We greatly appreciate any and all donations in SSG Popham's memory. We will make sure that he is never forgotten.
