Dwight and Nona's Moving Fund

Pat the Cat (pictured here), Emily the cat, Dwight and I have ended up in a precarious living situation.  We have a moving date (Thursday, October 5th) but no house to go to.  Due to extenuating circumstances, we have not been able to find a place to live.  We have been looking since June!  Our stuff will be moved to a storage unit until we can find a place to live.  In order to move into a new place, we will need first and last month rent plus a security deposit.  We will also need money to close out the utilities at our old address and to pay for other moving expenses.  We also need money to shampoo the rug, and do some house cleaning. 

 

We need funds immediately and over the next month.  Not only do we have to be out of our current house by October 8, but we need to be ready to pay any unknown expenses that may come up. 

 

Receiving financial help for this move will keep us housed and will allow us to keep our cats, who are family to us.  We both do our work out of our home. Hence, without a house to live in, we can’t earn a living!  It will also be extremely difficult for Nona to go to graduate school or do community service without a place to live.  We are currently living in “survival” mode, and miss doing the things that make us happy, including socializing and being there for our friends.

 

We will be forever grateful for any support you can give us. We love each and every one of you dear friends who have helped us in the past.  We know the time it takes to haul boxes and furniture, send prayers and good wishes, consult with us on practical matters, and comfort us.  Those are gifts to be treasured forever.
