Save Vincenzo's Restaurant from Developers!

We have just ONE WEEK to save Vincenzo’s Pizza House on Park Street, Bristol. Having lost an appeal against their eviction, they have until August 6th to pay almost £10,000 worth of court fees, with a further £50k to continue their legal challenge.

We’ve launched a crowd funder to support the late Vincenzo Ricci’s family. His three children have spent their entire life savings, exhausted credit options and will soon be forced into liquidation if they cannot raise the funds required to pay their court fees and save their life’s work

Urbina, the developer they’re fighting, have projects across the UK exceeding £150million in value, operate a private equity fund and claim they’re “an award winning property investment company with a strong track record of enhancing asset performance to maximise returns”.

The Ricci family have run Vincenzo’s since 1970. In 2019, planning was approved by a small number of public sector workers, without being put to a committee. Their decision is set to break the hearts of thousands of intergenerational Bristolians, who’ve been visiting their local Italian restaurant for over 50 years with their families and friends.

We have to ask - is it worth losing a 52 year old, independent, hospitality business in return for a 0.02% increase in student accommodation in Bristol?

Who are these public sector workers who decided this was an acceptable loss for the people of Bristol?

The planning company that assisted Urbina, is “independent” Bristol-based CSJ Planning Consultants Ltd, and some of the local public sector employees involved are Kayna Tregay, Amy Predergrast, Paul Chick and Alex Hartley.
