Hello, my name is Brittany and this is my cat Duma. I’ve had her since I was 10 and she has been my rock. I know she’s 16 but she would always play around with me and follow me around the house and cuddle with me as well as try to steal my food. She was full of life until a couple of days ago things took a turn. I’m not sure what happened but out of nowhere she stopped acting like herself, she isn’t meowing how she used to, she will barely move and she just all around does not look good. She’s lost a ton of weight and she’s not eating as much as she used to.. when I used to bring treats out she would freak out and be so happy to the point I almost couldn’t get them out of the bag but now she doesn’t even react. I am so beyond scared of losing her and I'm not sure what I’m going to do when she’s gone. We have a vet appointment today 8/12/25 and they want $62 for the exam as well as $200-$300 for blood work and I’m not sure what else we may need for her. Me and my family are already financially struggling so this is going to be really hard for us.
