Duke Needs Your Help (Hip & Elbow Dysplasia)!

Hi, my name is Casey Lagrassa; my boyfriend (Tyler Moran) and I are fundraising to provide our 10-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog the happy and comfortable life he deserves. In July of 2021, we took Duke home (8 weeks old), and he quickly became part of the family; two months later, we noticed he was struggling to get up off the floor and started to walk with a limp. After months of vet appointments, sedated x-rays, and CT scans, the radiologist & orthopedic surgeon confirmed bilateral hip dysplasia and bilateral elbow dysplasia. It was heart-breaking to receive this news at five months old, as you can imagine.

Since he was eight weeks old, we've had pet insurance for Duke, but the insurance company will not cover any medical expenses for hip or elbow dysplasia. We have been paying out of pocket, and it has quickly become extremely costly and overwhelming. The money raised for Duke will be put towards his bilateral arthroscopic elbow surgery, which is booked for mid-April. Followed by bi-lateral hip replacement surgery, the funds will go towards artificial hip implants, anesthesia, medications, follow-up appointments and physical therapy.

Duke is so young and has so much potential to live a long, fulfilled life, any donation or shared link would be greatly appreciated.
