Hello, my name is Gabriell Erisnor and my peer Aivi Rahman and I are doing a fundraiser to support our close friend Vincent Yao and his family. Vincent’s mother, Dr. Ellen Liang, suddenly passed away on February 2, 2023 at 9:32am. She was a loving wife and caring mother to two boys and had an impactful role in her community. She was an Internal Medicine Physician in New York and an alumnus of Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences. She actively participated in and supported the affairs of her alumni association.

Her eldest son, Vincent Yao, is a second-year medical student at CUNY School of Medicine. His younger brother, Anthony, is a freshman in college. Vincent is an amazing and caring person who is passionate about our school. As President of the student government, he has done countless tasks for the betterment of Sophie students. Vincent’s father, Dr. Alan Yao, is also an alumnus of Sophie Davis, and actively supports the school.

This is an extremely difficult time for the Yao and Liang families and we want to show our support in any way possible. The proceeds we raise will help support the funeral as well as a care package for the Yao and Liang families. Thank you so much for your contributions.

The funeral service will be held in her loving memory on Sunday, 2/12/23 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Chun Fook Funeral Services at 134-35 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11354. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
