Ana and Romeo Alvarado were so excited to be first time parents. At their first ultrasound they were given the unimaginable news that their unborn baby was being diagnosed with a condition called anencephaly. Children born with anencephaly typically only live hours. Ana and Romeo made the decision to carry the baby to full term. They truly felt the unconditional love that every parent feels for their child. Although the pregnancy was a rollercoaster of emotions one thing was certain their baby was loved by so many. The support from family members and friends meant the world to them. On 12/10/19 Ana and Romeo Alvarado delivered a beautiful baby boy who they named Angel Jose into this world. They felt blessed by God to have been able to spend some precious moments with their son before he was welcomed into the gates of Heaven. The family is currently serving in the US Navy and stationed in Honolulu Hawaii. Their wish is to take baby Angel home to be laid to rest in Sterling, Illinois. This Go Fund Me has been set up to assist with bringing baby Angel, mom and dad  home and cost associated with funeral expenses.
