KURT HAS HAD A LIFE-THREATENING STROKE !!
Let me begin by explaining the last few days. The Stroke occurred a few days ago. Kurt
was taken by ambulance to The University of Iowa Hospital. He went immediately into Surgery to save his life!
The Drs. were able to remove a large clot from his Carotid Artery and one from his brain however, one large clot remains deep in his brain they can not remove ! Kurt is in ICU/Stroke floor with now Pneumonia, the Flu, and blood pressure issues and much more devastating conditions!
As most of you know Kaeli and Kurt are not the type of people to ask for financial help. So we are doing this Go fund me for them.
Some of you may not know them but they have been living in Fairfield for more then 30 years!
Lonnie and I have been helping them as much as we can. Now we are asking everyone that can in anyway to help us help them. Lonnie and I have calculated what is approximately needed immediately to keep them going.
As we said before the greatest gift is to share this go fund me! We can assure everyone that every single penny will go towards helping them!
Here is a list below of their immediate needs as Kurt most likely will need to remain in the hospital and rehab for probably months:
1) Hotels, transportation, gas, food, and items for Kurt.
2) Large medical expenses that are not covered.
3) Upon returning home the house will need many renovations such as a walk in shower on the first floor.
4) A full working bathroom on the first floor!
5) First floor washing machine and dryer.
6) Outside ramp and railings inside and out.
7) They will need to buy a hoyer lift if not covered by their insurance.
8) Daily aids to help Kurt's recovery along with helping Kaeli as she has some disabilities.
9) Also Yagyas of course
The list above represents what we know as of today. We are sure that there is more but we will have to wait to see.
To end, what has happened to Kurt is very devastating as you can imagine. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you have read this and ANY contribution you may be able to make, regardless of the amount, will be so appreciated by all involved !! We must somehow raise this money so Kurt can survive with dignity!
