My name is Teresa Wilber and out of nowhere, I was recently diagnosed with Acquired Hemophilia A Factor 8 with Inhibitor. It's an extremely rare blood disease that has literally taken over my body. What this disease does is cause spontaneous muscle and organ bleeding. Walking, raising my arms, basically any movement causes me to start bleeding. I constantly have to go to the ER by ambulance only (per doctor) when I start bleeding so a critical care team can be waiting on me. I started infusions today to hopefully help, but there is no cure. If this doesn't work, the doctor will start looking for a clinical trial. I have a 50% chance of dying every time I start bleeding, which is scary enough without everything else going on.
