Dear friends and allies,
As some of you may be aware, Haiti has been faced with a deep humanitarian crisis due to long-standing issues, such as political instability, inflation, frequent natural disasters, weak state institutions, lack of government, systematic corruption, gang violence, lack of international engagement, and extreme poverty.
In recent years, terrorist armed gangs took control of the whole country and run the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Their modus operandi is looting people’s businesses and homes, taking away everything they own, then setting the properties on fire.
Around the capital, the scenic views of green mountains and blue oceans are now covered by clouds of black smoke everywhere one looks.
Routinely, men and women are being beaten and killed by the thousands; police officers and members of law enforcement are being captured and slaughtered publicly; young men and boys are being forcefully and violently recruited into malignant gangs; and women and girls are being raped, tortured, and trafficked without mercy.
Currently, 5.5 million people, nearly half of the population, have been displaced, and families are facing homelessness, unemployment, food insecurity, healthcare crises, education disruptions, lack of sanitation, lack of clean water, and lack of all basic necessities. In addition, 2 out of 3 people face acute hunger, emergency-level hunger, and starvation, including babies, young children, pregnant women, sick people, elderly people, mentally ill, and handicapped people.
The island that was once nicknamed “The Jewel of the Caribbean” is now described as hell on earth. A whole nation left to its own demise. That is why we are humbly asking that you open your heart to the endless sufferings of the Haitian people by making a donation today. The funds donated will be used to provide safe shelter, housing, food, clean water, articles of clothing, personal hygiene supplies, medical care, and cash aids, in an effort to ease the burden and sorrow of the victims, as they face this unbearable reality, that words and images cannot accurately describe.
We greatly appreciate your efforts and dedication to this mission. We thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Thank you so very much,
Standing With Haiti
Unity is strength

By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can. »
