Donate to Repair Jacob's Essential Bathroom
Spende geschützt
Hello, and thank you for reading.
My name’s Randy and I have two wonderful sons who also just so happen to be on the autism spectrum.
My oldest, Jacob, is nonverbal and only partially potty trained. However, the bathroom by his room is his safe place as he uses it and the humming vent as a controlled sensory environment.
Unfortunately, he dropped something as of yet unknown into the toilet, and it has ceased functioning properly, making it so that bowel movements do not flush down.
This happened once before and it cost nearly $400 to fix, as they had to remove the toilet to get the object out.
I attempted removing the toilet and getting the item myself, but it must be trapped in the curve of the drain as nothing can be seen or grasped from either end.
I also discovered that the toilet seal around the drain pipe was cracked while doing so.
The cheapest plumbing company I found said it would be anywhere between $380 and $500 to fix everything, which we unfortunately don’t have at this time.
I’m looking for a total of $500 from anyone kind enough to donate to hopefully cover the repair costs and fundraising fees.
It has been very stressful for the whole family, so we would be truly, extremely grateful for any help received.
Thank you for your consideration in any case, on behalf of us all.
