Hi I'm Nichole a mom of 2. I am raising money for my colorectal cancer diagnosis. These funds will go towards medical costs for surgery, chemotherapy, laboratory testing and all other related costs. My story from a dear friend’s perspective:
Nicole is a brilliant environmental chemist who works for her local water district. She is passionate about learning, and works constantly to achieve certifications to better her role in providing safe, clean drinking water for her community. Nicole is also an avid cyclist, getting up every morning at 3am to ride her peloton before work each day. Nicole is a mom of two young children, a wife, daughter and a friend to many. Nicole is a ray of sunshine and is always cheerful with her southern charm.
When Nicole turned 45, she received a Cologuard test as part of routine, preventative care for her age group. when the Cologuard test came back with trace amounts of blood, her dr ordered a colonoscopy. The colonoscopy found two masses in her intestines. Initial diagnosis was stage II, potentially stage III colorectal cancer pending lymph node involvement. Nicole is just starting the journey of multiple doctor appointments each week, CT scans, MRI’s, several blood tests and more and the costs are already stacking up. She had surgery the end of July to get the initial tumor removed.
Insurance will only cover so much, and Nicole will be out of work for her required, upcoming surgery and treatments. These costs can occur hundreds of thousands of dollars before all is said and done.
Thank you for reading her story, please keep Nicole and her family in your thoughts and prayers for her journey ahead. And thank you for any amount you can provide.
