Donate to Lisa Bacon's Medical and Travel Fund

The Hull and Bacon families have been friends for over 40 years. Lisa and Davy farm, ranch and rodeo and are very active in our community. They are one of the first to help others in times of need. We are now asking everyone to help us raise money for Lisa’s medical and travel expenses that are being accumulated on a daily basis. This wife, Mom and Mimi now needs us in her time of need.

Lisa’s Story:

On July 19th, Lisa went for a routine outpatient surgery to repair a tear in her left rotator cuff . On the way home, she started having chest pain & suffered a heart attack. Her husband, Davy, got her to Alliance Health in Durant, then transferred her to TMC in Sherman, where she underwent a procedure in the cath lab. It was determined that she needed open heart surgery, as her RCA was 100% blocked and the 3 vessels on the left side of heart were 90% blocked. TMC then transferred her to Baylor University in Dallas.

On July 25th, she had open heart surgery. Unfortunately, after surgery her heart would not work properly and she was placed on ECMO (a mechanism to support her heart). Since that day she has gone through 2 other heart surgeries. And now has 3 mechanisms of support to keep her heart functioning. Her right ventricle is still not working good and there will be more surgeries to come. If the heart does not recover, the only other option would be a heart transplant.

We are at day 11 of the hospital stay and her team keeps telling us this is a marathon not a sprint with many other hurdles to jump.
